ABOUT MY CREATIONS

I make clay molded micro dolls, crocheted micro bears and all kind of friends;  they range from 8 mm until 5 inches tall.

They are One of a Kind -OOAK-.  It means that I don't duplicate the original work you see on this site, but I would consider doing similar pieces. You can get in touch with me if you are interested.

WHO AM I?

First of all, I'm a miniatures lover.  For me having miniatures is like having the whole world in my house.

My name is Dorys Barahona and I live in Israel.   My love for miniatures and my passion for art, crocheting and handcrafts took me to try to make my own pieces.  I discovered a new world when I started my minis seven years ago;   it was like they were coming to life by themselves.  Now, when I watch the pictures of everything I have made, I can’t believe how I could do them.  I also feel like I’ve grown too much in the process, because I'm so proud that many people around the world have one of my minis in their collections.  I'm very thankful to all of them. 

All my creations come from my imagination and I experiment with different techniques and materials.  Since I put all my best in what I'm doing, each of my minis is One Of a Kind -OOAK-, made with all my love.

I have been featured Artist of the Month for October 2008 at CDHM (Custom Dolls, Houses and Miniatures) and my minis have been featured in the March and April issues of the AIM (artisans in miniature) online magazine.
